The Garrett Co. welcomes Matt Griffin. Matt has worked in the development industry for over 15 years and brings a comprehensive skill set that includes market economic analysis, physical design, development process management, and marketing. Matt’s formal education comes from Ball State University where he majored in Urban Planning, Economics, and Environmental Design. As an Urban Planner, Matt has worked for a variety of Midwestern and East Coast municipalities in a planning and economic development role. Matt has also worked as an urban designer and transportation design manager for leading design firms and as a developer liaison. For over a decade Matt has focused on the multifamily development industry and has played a managing role in over $300 million dollars of completed projects. These projects include greenfield suburban development, mixed use campuses, and downtown urban infill redevelopment. Many of Matt’s projects have become rent leaders in their markets, and have garnered awards from design, development, and multifamily trade organizations. Matt is also involved in mentoring small business start ups, and has provided content for Inc., Money Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, CNN Money, and Forbes.
